Cokin BZ100 Z-PRO Series Filter Holder

The Cokin Z-PRO Series is designed for medium format cameras as well as wide-angle lenses and is recommended for focal lengths from 20mm onwards (35mm format). This Series is also well adapted to broadcast use.It fits a large variety of lenses thanks to a range of adaptor rings covering the popular diameters up to 96mm. Additional rings designed for Hasselblad B60/B70 and Rollei are also available.The Z-PRO Filter-Holder is designed to fit both film and digital technology, in particular D-SLRs, Medium Format and Video/Broadcast cameras, either semi-professional or professional models (including new HD formats).

This System is totally modular, the Z-PRO Filter-Holder being easily dismantled and reconfigured. Cokin has integrated a new spacer system into the holder which accepts filters in all popular dimensions: 100mm (4") filters at a thickness from 1,6 to 2mm or at a thickness of 4mm (includes most filters from the Lee product range).

In order to accomodate extra wide-angle lenses, the Z-PRO Filter-Holder can be dismantled, allowing the removal of several filter slots. This procedure removes all unused slots from the field of view and protects against the risk of vignetting.

There is another way to prevent all risks of vignetting without dismanting it and therefore gaining time. The Z-PRO Series Filter-Holder is fully reversible, meaning that a filter that fit in the adaptor ring's slot and the adaptor ring can be placed in the first filter slot. Therefore the filter can be positioned very close to the lens and the edges of the holder are no longer obstacle iin the field of use.

How the Cokin System works

The Cokin Creative Filter System consists of three main components: A filter holder / Adapter ring and a Filter.

1. Screw the adapter ring onto your lens.

2. Slide the filter holder on the adapter ring until it snaps in place. The filter holder is now solidly attached to the lens, yet it can rotate both left and right.

3. Slide the filter into one of the filter holder slots. The one closest to the filter holder housing is the narrowest; it allows the use of round filters with notched edges (polarizer, star filters..). The two central slots are intended for square filters. The outer slot can be used either for an additional filter or for a coupling ring.
